HUD properties are available by bids placed through HUD Registered Agents only.  New listings come on the market every day and priority is given to owner occupants, non-profit organizations and government entities for a period of time before being open to investors.  There are some very good financing opportunities available too, i.e.,  FHA 203K financing for fixer-uppers,  and HUD will pay up to 3% of the purchase price in buyer’s closing costs.  The FHA appraisal that is done prior to listing the property is available to be used in FHA financing for a period of time, which can save a buyer yet another large fee that is an up-front cost in most other purchases.  These properties are really excellent opportunities for buyers with good credit, but little or no down payment funds.  Call Mary Howard at 503-738-5531 for more information.
